The highlights of designing this issue would have to be the cover and the feature on hop growing in the Motueka and Mapua regions.

The cover image was so vibrant and edgy that we wanted to reflect this in the colour pallette and fonts we used for cover lines, an objective achieved by both contrasting the black background and complementing the vibrancy of the dress with bright yellow decorative text.

We particularly enjoyed designing the Hops feature as it gave us chance to complement some great historic regional photography with earthy colours, textures and typography.
